My name is Deng Juan. I am an English major and graduated from the Central University for Nationalities in 2005. I was once a college English teacher in Tourism College of Yunnan University and now I work as a primary middle school teacher in Ping'anli Comprehensive School in Shenzhen.
I love the teaching career and am determined to achive great accomplishments in it. However, for some family and personal reasons, I temporarily gave up the further study in graduate program. But I still want to have some achievements in my teaching career. When I was a student, I benefitted a lot from my English teacher who spoke very good English. So I also tried my best to make my students love learning English and learn it happily and effectively. I did so when I taught college students. But now when I am a middle school students, I once continued my teaching ideas but my students' first exam results frustrated me. It takes a long time for the students to achive good grades with the natral and interest-cultivating teaching. On the other hand, those students whose teacher focuses on the grammar got good grades in the exams. After being criticied, I had to practise the grammar-translation teaching approach. Only I myself know how painful I am and I even doubted if I am a capable teacher.
Now after reading your book, I have got the courage to practise my teaching with the effective approach and have got some ideas on how to improve students' English in skills and exams. I strongly support your English learning method and I determine to use it in my teaching. And I would love to be a volunteer in your research and am especially interested in your next book 《飘vs红楼梦》.
